What are help requests?

1 min read Updated recently

Help Requests are a way to get help from the GrowthMentor community when you're not sure which mentor to book.

How they work:

  1. You post a Help Request describing your challenge or question
  2. Mentors who think they can help will apply to your request
  3. You review the applications and choose who to book a session with

When to use a Help Request:

  • You're not sure which mentor is the best fit for your specific challenge
  • You want to see who's available and interested before committing
  • Your question spans multiple areas of expertise
  • You want to compare different perspectives before booking

Tips for great Help Requests:

  • Be specific about your challenge — vague requests get fewer applications
  • Include relevant context (your role, company stage, what you've already tried)
  • Mention what kind of outcome you're hoping for

Help Requests are visible to all mentors on the platform, so you'll often get responses from mentors you might not have found through browsing alone.
