How do I cancel a session?

If you haven't heard from a mentor and really would like to specifically talk to them, definitely send a message in the session chat explaining WHY you selected them based on the information in their profile. They will then get an email notification which will help to bump the request.

If you want to cancel a session that has not been accepted by a mentor and is still in 'requested' mode you can do so after 48 hours by clicking into the session and hitting 'cancel'.

Already accepted by mentor

If your request has already been accepted and the mentor has blocked the time, message them first to explain why you need to cancel. Then contact our team via live chat or email — we'll remove it from your queue.

It is up to you!   Some people prefer to have the video on during calls and others do not.   If you have a strong preference either way, it is a good idea to communicate this before you schedule a session.   Mentors are able to set in their profile whether they're open to using video.
