How Does the Video Call Recording and AI Summary Tool Work?
What this tool does
The Video Call Recording and AI Summary tool helps you get more out of your mentoring sessions on GrowthMentor. It records your call, gives you an accurate transcript, and turns that transcript into an AI summary of the key takeaways, so you can stay in the conversation instead of scrambling to take notes.
Can I turn recording on or off?
Yes. You control it. To enable or disable session recording, go to your Communication Settings. You can change this preference at any time.
How does recording work?
When you book a session, you can pick the GrowthMentor video room as your communication method. If recording is enabled, the session is recorded automatically and saved securely, and you can access it in your account afterward.
Prefer not to record? Disable recording in your settings, or book the session using a different tool like Zoom.
What happens after the session?
Once your call ends, two things happen:
- Transcription: Your session is converted into an accurate text transcript.
- AI summary: The transcript is turned into an easy-to-read summary that includes:
- Session focus: A short overview of the challenges you discussed and the solutions proposed.
- Session highlights: Key advice and actionable insights, timestamped for reference.
- Follow-up questions: Suggested areas to explore in future sessions.
Where do I find my recordings and summaries?
All your recorded sessions and AI summaries live in the "Recorded Calls" section of your account. We also email you the summary shortly after the session.
Why use it?
- Stay focused: Be fully present in the call, knowing the details are captured for you.
- Review fast: Revisit the important moments without rewatching the whole recording.
- Act on it: Clear next steps and follow-up questions keep you moving.
Is my information secure?
Yes. Your recordings and summaries are stored securely and can only be accessed by you and your mentor. Privacy and confidentiality are built into how GrowthMentor handles your sessions.
