What's the catch? Will GrowthMentor mentors just pitch me?
We get this question a lot, and it is fair: if a mentor gives their time for free, what is in it for them?
The short answer: no catch, no hidden upsell. GrowthMentor is a give-first platform, and mentors are here because they genuinely enjoy helping founders and marketers, not to generate leads for themselves. If you want the longer version, we wrote up five reasons mentors do it for free.
And we screen for it. We are good at weeding out applicants who view the platform as a lead-gen source, which is part of why we accept only around 3% of mentor applications. A mentor who shows up to sell rather than help does not last here.
What you get is a room full of experienced startup and growth people who like talking through hard problems. Nothing more, nothing less. If a session ever feels like a pitch, tell us and it will not happen again.
