How do mentors get paid?
Most mentoring on GrowthMentor is free, and when you do charge, you keep your full rate. GrowthMentor makes its money from mentee memberships, not a cut of your sessions.
Free first, by design
GrowthMentor is a give-first platform. New mentors do their first sessions for free, and you can set a rate once you've earned 3 reviews (and charge above $100/hr once you've earned 10). Around 80% of mentors are free at any given time. Until you've set a rate there's nothing to pay out, and what you're building is reviews, reputation, and rank.
When you've set a rate
When you get paid: the mentee is charged at the time of booking, and your earnings are released for payout once the session is completed and marked as such.
Payout method: we use Stripe. Connect your Stripe account in your settings to receive payouts.
Payout schedule:
- Payouts are processed automatically.
- Funds typically arrive within 2-7 business days, depending on your country.
- You can see your earnings history in your dashboard.
Does GrowthMentor take a cut?
No. GrowthMentor isn't a commission marketplace. When you charge for a session, that's your rate and it goes to you. The platform is funded by mentee Pro memberships, which is what lets the model stay give-first.
