Tell us something about yourself and what you are currently working on.
I'm the founder of Expaty.com a marketplace that connects expats with trusted local businesses. The idea came from personal challenges I faced as an expat, struggling to find trustworthy professionals who spoke my language. Expaty aims to simplify this process, ensuring a smoother transition for expats worldwide.

Before discovering GrowthMentor, I tackled challenges through coaching programs, training courses, and mentors.
The Decision
What ultimately compelled you to sign up for GrowthMentor?
I joined GrowthMentor for the invaluable advice and the chance to find knowledgeable "sparring partners" to refine my ideas and plans. It's been incredibly helpful in crafting an effective go-to-market strategy for Expaty, providing me with a sounding board for my strategies and a fresh perspective on challenges. The diverse expertise within the community offered me targeted insights and actionable solutions, making it an essential part of Expaty's journey.

What's your favorite thing about GrowthMentor?
My favorite aspect of GrowthMentor is the vast pool of knowledge represented by the mentors. Having access to such a wide array of expertise has been invaluable, offering diverse perspectives and specialized insights that have greatly enriched my strategies and decision-making processes.
What topics have you mostly discussed with mentors?
GTM, marketplace launch strategy, idea validation, email marketing, UI/UX, and SEO.
The Breakthrough
Is there a specific session/mentor that stands out in your mind as super helpful?
Every session has been valuable, but a few stood out for me. Stephanie Moccio went through the Expaty website with me and gave practical, specific suggestions to improve how it works and how it reads, drawing on her acquisition background. Zubin Teherani walked me through how he built LeagueSided from scratch all the way to an exit, which was hugely insightful for me. And Agata gave me a couple of insights on Google Ads that shifted how I think about it.
The Transformation
How has GrowthMentor helped you?
The input I received from my sessions was transformative, leading to strategic adjustments, especially concerning the launch phase of my project. The advice and insights prompted me to rethink and refine our go-to-market strategy, aligning it more closely with our target audience's needs and the unique challenges of the expat community. This recalibration has set a stronger foundation for our project.
