Product Led Growth & Strategy @ BrowserStack
Describe yourself
I love problem-solving and have a rich background in Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, and Product Growth & Strategy. My diverse experience enables me to analyze challenges & opportunities and develop holistic solutions using first principles of thinking.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I love problem solving and this gives me an opportunity to tackle diverse problems outside of my current job.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
1. Not just finding opportunities but also doubling down and winning to extract every bit of growth from successful initiatives. Also, always aim for moonshots. That way you will spend resources wisely and on correct problem statements.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
Website as a driver for Growth. Your website communicates what you do and is your biggest sales engine.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
We had high failures in delivery (RTO, Return to Origin) from Tier 2 cities in one of the e-commerce start-ups I was working for. This was a big headache and the founders were contemplating stopping delivery to Tier 2 cities altogether. I was analyzing the orders that we were getting and noticed a pattern in the checkout behavior. Orders, where customers had checked out with addresses creating multiple digits, had much lower return rates than orders with fewer or no digits. What this means is that an address House no, 103, Block 8, XYZ is more precise and easy to locate than c/o Rohit Sharma, near Ball market opposite Ram Temple, etc. We implemented these checks in our checkout process and halved our RTO rate.

A few years ago, my team and I identified a few hundred leads that were about to be dormant in our system due to a lack of attention by both marketing and sales. I’ve dabbled in various industries, including eCommerce, SaaS, Manufacturing, Pet, and Fintech, and have taken on various marketing roles, even some leadership positions. In my own startup, I quickly learned the power of developing your product and business alongside your users. We had some initial success, but we struggled to retain customers because we were only selling online and had no direct contact with them. Our value proposition only evolved because we went out and talked to our users.

Having a growth mindset means aligning around a vision to build something exceptional. Employing a mindset of continuous improvement- the world is always changing, so how do we think innovatively about what needs we’re trying to meet and what value we’re creating?
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
Effective communication. So much of project success relies on how an idea comes across, and whether it’s accessible and persuasive. From customer conversations in the Sales process to writing process documents, to training, to making a case to the C-Suite, keeping communication simple and impactful is key. This is also imperative to personal and career development as creating strong relationships relies on exceptional personal and communication skills.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
Discovering the root cause of a problem requires working backward from the result, through the process, to the source, and asking “Why” throughout. If it’s a technical problem, this will require some deep dive into a product, but even so, determining a root cause means talking to people. Whether it’s a breakdown in a process, a response to a product, or dysfunction within a team, people are willing to honestly share if they trust the listener actually cares about them. The scale of listening varies based on the problem scope, but I believe talking to people at the source is where to get the answer.

Director of Growth | Demand Generation | Build and mentoring teams | PLG, SLG & multi-funnel
Describe yourself
Hi, I’m Andy. I am a marketer with over 10 years of experience leading marketing, demand gen, and growth teams in start-ups and scale-ups.
I have experience in B2B and B2B2C, in multiple industries, and across both PLG and sales-led motions.
I can help you with anything from GTM strategy, building teams, and diagnosing performance, to optimizing the funnel/channels as well as advice on progressing your career.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I love working with a diverse range of people and companies. It’s hugely satisfying to be able to share my experience to help people solve the growth challenges they are facing.
I have been mentoring and coaching people for the last year independently and would like to join Growth Mentor to be able to expand the network of people I can potentially support.

Founder/CEO | Listed PLC experience | PE/VC experience | Startup & Scaleup experience | Angel Investor | B2B & D2C
Describe yourself
I’m a friendly and approachable leader who has scaled several businesses and helped others on their journey to build theirs. I tend to see the opportunity and positive in things but experience over a 30-year career also has helped me identify avoidable pitfalls and dead ends. I tend to be practical rather than theoretical and, as a people person, I get on with most and can “put myself in your shoes” and help/mentor from that perspective rather than just my own. There is plenty more, but recommendations on my social profiles and comments on my posts say it better than I can! 🙂
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I’d like to help others progress their careers/businesses; like most people, I’ve had successes and failures and would like to use these experiences to benefit others!
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
Growth is a good thing and we should strive for it across multiple aspects of a business – sales growth, customer satisfaction growth, shareholder returns growth, etc – it’s a mindset. However, it needs to balance with a level of realism and what is practical, but not to the extent it takes ambition away! Growth ambition is very important in my mind.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
Scaling. There are invisible hurdles/barriers as businesses grow and I’m particularly interested in helping overcome these. But I do think I’d be very limited by focusing on just one topic, hence have, cheekily, made my one topic quite wide as there are lots of aspects to scaling!
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
I don’t tend to think “I’m good”, I am a team player and any achievement is a reflection of my team (and me), rather than me alone. The founding and launching of a future workspace company days before the pandemic started in 2020 is an example of a standout moment as the world moved to new ways of working which we were well set up to help reimagine.

Growth Consultant | Fractional Head of Growth
Describe yourself
I am a forward-thinking growth marketer who enjoys using emotional intelligence and data to solve problems. After a 20-year career in marketing and product, I want to start working both for myself and also to have a positive impact in my environment and other people. As a leader, I operate in the intersection of data and humanity, that is I understand that data is not enough and that all of us have blockers that prevent us from going forward and those need to be considered in a business equation.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I would like to pay it forward and also keep on learning as I encounter different use cases in which to apply my growth skills.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
A growth mindset is the understanding that learning is a lifelong process and that valuable knowledge can be gained from anyone and any experience. More importantly, by embracing perseverance, resilience, and a willingness to think critically when faced with challenges, most individuals can overcome the majority of obstacles they encounter in both their professional and personal lives.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
Growth Marketing. I have brought over $200M in incremental revenue during the last 10 years to about 5 different companies and almost always have found possibilities for further growth here.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
Before CDPs were common, I created a SQL platform that connected product usage data to Facebook allowing us to target by intent. We were able to use it to grow an app an extra $10M while reducing costs.
