Before you learned about GrowthMentor, how did you deal with the challenges you faced?

Before GrowthMentor I found myself Googling issues, reading Medium articles, random blogs, etc. It was fairly unstructured.  I’d also ping people on LinkedIn who had the relevant experience, but I had no connection to – so responses were pretty low.

Tell us about what you are currently working on.

Lloyd is a career copilot for young professionals. When you join Lloyd you are paired with a human copilot who will accompany you on your career journey. No more feeling ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about your career!

What ultimately compelled you to sign up for GrowthMentor?

We were launching a few marketing campaigns and we wanted to get the professional perspective from marketing professionals.  Other consultants often charge $250 / hour or more, so GrowthMentor had the same quality of mentors, but at a very reasonable price.

What’s your favorite thing about GrowthMentor?

Mentors are genuinely excited to speak and answer questions.  That is pretty rare in my opinion when two strangers meet – I think that may be due to the internal community and standards that GrowthMentor has built.  It is rare that I have a low quality call – and more are incredibly, incredibly valuable.

Is there a specific session/mentor that stands out in your mind as super helpful?

My session with Jake Bodmer stands out – it was very very tactical about something we were working on at that time and I came out of the call with probably 8 takeaways and went directly to work on each. Thanks Jake!

Based on things you’ve discussed in calls, do you have any results to tell us about?

I also had a great conversation with Laura Catz – she was the first person that brought up to me the concept of different intentionality for users on Google or Facebook or other ad platforms.  Based on that call we have shifted some of our digital marketing more to Google, and I continue to use her advice as we make additional changes moving forward.
