I’m a marketing operations and technology enthusiast who has gone through the different stages of a marketing organization in B2B, B2C and non-profit world. My interest areas are to enable business process by modern sales and marketing technology and to connect dots between marketing and sales activities and revenue generation. Marketo, Salesforce and spreadsheets are bread and butter to me. I’m also an online Japanese teacher and have taught and mentored more than 100 students to achieve their goal.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Build – Break – Fix – Repeat. Every day is full of learning opportunities to get better at what we’re doing.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Marketing Operations and automation.

Describe an out of the box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself?

When my company only had the basic edition of tools but what we’re trying to achieve was beyond its capability, I thought I was challenged my limitation. I found a tiny code snipet and was able to impact the business process and the lead quality, I was proud of myself.

Staying perennially open minded – you’re constantly testing strategies and finding better ways to analyze the results.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Product/market fit – being a matchmaker, finding the white space between customers, their needs, and what a business brings to the table.

Describe an out of the box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself?

Convincing an entire sales team that was only comfortable selling YouTube content to not only sell other social media (Insta, Snap, FB, TW), but to price it correctly. Converted $8M in a year with entirely new LOB.
