1. Georgios Chasiotis

Describe yourself

Hey! I’m Georgios, Managing Director at MINUTTIA. I help SaaS and tech companies drive organic growth through Content & SEO. In my free time I read psychology and try to understand the “why” behind human behavior.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

I don’t believe in hacks. I don’t believe in tactics. And, I don’t believe in quick wins either. When it comes to growth, I believe only in one thing: Process. If you want to grow, you need to develop and follow a process—a process that will allow you to achieve incremental changes and start getting the results that you want and deserve. So, stop looking for hacks and quick wins and devote yourself to developing and following a process around everything that you do.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

How post-PMF SaaS companies—that already get some organic traffic—can scale their efforts through Content & SEO.

Describe an out of the box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself?

Never said that—and least not yet. I believe in progress, rather than accepting that I’m good and that I don’t have anything else to learn. But, rather than that, solving complex problems is everyday life for a business owner—especially if you’re running a lifestyle business, like agency. So, I’d say that I like solving problems, and my goal is to become better at solving them every day. If I’m good at it? That’s not for me to say.

Describe yourself

I’m an ex-LEGO designer turned tech startup founder, growing a future-of-work community platform. Along the way, I’ve product-managed a messaging app to 1M users, consulted for brands including Samsung and The Times, and mentored a number of startups. I love seeing brilliant new ideas realised and I’m passionate about shipping creative experiences in a lean way.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Creatively and actively approaching each obstacle as an opportunity for learning and adaptation.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

How to bake growth into a product, leveraging psychology and an in-depth understanding of user motivations.

Describe an out of the box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself?

A more quirky one: to solve the challenge of disease in east African cattle, myself and a team designed a low-cost ingestible sensor with a wireless transmitter – alerting the farmer and allowing them to take preventative measures in advance of further contagion.

4. Matthew Hammon

Describe yourself

I am a Demand Generation marketer with a specific interest in SaaS companies. I enjoy working with fast-growing innovative brands, particularly in the AI space. Outside of work, I love to travel, I’m a fairly avid reader of non-fiction and I love good food and wine.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

A growth mindset in my mind is more than hitting a specific number or experimentation. While those aspects are important, I believe growth is bigger than that — it’s about delivering an outstanding prospective customer experience in a way which delivers value upfront for the customer and is simultaneously beneficial for the business.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Paid Media and B2B Funnel Management.

Describe an out of the box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself?

I had to tackle a challenge in my large startup where we had to reach companies with traffic above a certain threshold, in this case over 500,000 unique visitors per month. Leveraging the available audience targeting that is available by default in Facebook and LinkedIn didn’t cut it from a lead quality perspective, so we had to up-level with custom third party data sets to attract the right users.

Describe yourself

Data-driven, technical marketer with a passion for blockchain technology (since 2012). Experience supplemented with a background in mechanical engineering and project management. $10m+ spent and 5+ years experience across PPC, SEO, CRO & CRM. Worked at growth agency Ladder.io leading their blockchain team & expertise. Now focused on the growth of Reality Gaming Group – augmented/ virtual reality mobile gaming and non-fungible tokenisation of assets.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Start with: ‘what gets measured, gets managed’ Putting ego and assumptions aside to enable asking the ‘right’ questions and approaching growth as a long-term learning process, built on a framework of small tests.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

The value of asking key questions. Identifying customer segments and using tools like value proposition canvas and lean methodology to develop an iterative approach to growth strategy that will scale.

Describe an out of the box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself?

When advertising for blockchain companies and ICOs in the 2017-18, most PPC platforms decided to ban ‘cypto’ based advertising. So, to overcome this, we focused on the utility and core value propositions for clients and avoided triggering any of the ‘crypto’ keywords. Combined with an overall winning growth strategy on other channels, we raised $40MM+ for a client in 2018.

Growth strategies for marketplaces and platforms.

Describe an out of the box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself?

Every time when I start a new project it’s the same, building trust and meaningful relationships with team members. It’s not something that I solve it’s an ongoing process of learning who they are, what they care about and giving them the room to grow. Growth is a culture and the basic is within the relationship that people have. If we can’t listen, respect and learn from each other – we can’t grow.
