Talk to mentors from these amazing companies

Not as much traffic as Google and often times less cpc competition, Bing is a great for incremental traffic for campaigns that have maxed out their Google spend and/or worth a shot for budget restricted campaigns in competitive industries where you just can't seem to get in the Google door!

The forgotten step-child of SEM, Bing—more fondly now known as Microsoft Ads—has come a long way since just following in Google's shadows. If you can get Google to work, we can probably get Bing to work, and there are likely some features since Microsoft's acquisition of LinkedIn and access to Verizon media that you aren't taking advantage of.

Daniel Choi

Growth Marketing Manager at Ramp
As a digital marketer, I have experience running PPC campaigns on Bing Ads. Bing Ads is a great platform for targeting a specific demographic or audience. I have found that Bing Ads can be less competitive than other PPC platforms, such as Google Ads, resulting in lower CPCs and a higher ROI. Additionally, Bing Ads offers unique features, such as the ability to import campaigns from Google Ads, making the setup process quick and easy.

I have used Bing since the last 3 years across different companies and verticals: (B2C, B2B, SaaS..) and I can say Google totally dominates the search and paid advertising channels, guess this is the sole reason why most of us often overlook Bing. However, Bing has a reach 33 Percent of U.S. Consumers, less competition and easy set up. If you are looking to take your ads to the next level with Bing, we should talk!

Southport Ventures has used the Bing API (via Azure) for business sourcing since we developed the V1 process of sourcing in 2019. The service is particularly useful for business queries, since LinkedIn is favored as a search result via the Microsoft connection.

Bing from Microsoft, not to be forgotten as a powerful marketing platform. Especially in the B2B scene, since Microsoft purchased Linkedin how this has enabled opportunities for ABM targeting.

Frequently asked questions

Have a question you don't see here? Ask us on live chat!

We have a very detailed filter system for you to sort the mentors. Filters like areas of expertise, tools, language, price and industry.

Members can also post a help request and have mentors apply to help if they feel they are a good fit.

Then the third option is to just ask us! Give it a try right now and ask us on live chat 🙂

Three choices:

  • Skype
  • Zoom
  • Google Hangouts

Mentors and mentees are able to set their communication tools in their profile settings.

It is a good idea to connect with the other person once the session is accepted and the details are given. This ensures that the correct details were given and when it is time to start, you can start on time.

Here are some tips on how to get the maximum bang for your time on growth mentor calls.

  • Come into this with realistic expectations. They’re mentors, not magicians.
  • Ask your mentor if they’d be cool with you recording your screen with Loom
  • Give contextual information to help paint the picture of your current situation.
  • Growth mentors will be asking you lots of questions, answer them as honest as possible.
  • Don’t be afraid to push the boundaries of question asking. Be inquisitive. Stories are gold.
  • Don’t feel pressure, just relax. There’s no right/wrong way to do this. Avoid binary thinking.
  • Try to form mental patterns, especially if you speak with multiple mentors. Pay attention to metadata.
  • Embrace alternative views. Ask the mentors to play devil’s advocate and challenge your assumptions.
  • Be friendly and authentic. If you’re likable, the mentors will be your biggest supporters (even after the call is over).

Yup! Many of the mentors offer monthly coaching packages for members who want to really dive deep into a specific area.

Each mentor creates their own package so what they offer and the price vary from mentor to mentor. You can find their coaching info at the top of their profile.
