Why would a buyer pick you over ChatGPT?
A prospect asks why they should pay when a prompt gets them most of the way. A rival that launched last year demos the same workflow in half the clicks.
Your answer lives in what a new tool doesn’t have: years of customer data, integrations, compliance and workflows people already trust. A mentor can help you find which of those buyers actually pay for.
What if AI now copies your core feature?
Some products grew on one feature, like text expansion, drafting or summaries, that AI tools now do in an afternoon. Customers still like the product, and revenue still goes flat.
One answer is to narrow to the customers for whom the feature was never the hard part: regulated teams, larger accounts, complex workflows. Bring your customer data and find the segment that stays.
Decide which AI to add, if any
Customers ask for AI features, investors ask about your AI story and the team wants to build. Before you commit a quarter, sort the options:
- Fix a slow step. Put AI where customers already wait or do manual work in your product, and measure the time saved.
- Add a new capability. Worth it when it takes over a job customers now pay another tool or a person to do.
- Keep it human. Some customers pick you because a person answers. Ask them before you automate that away.
- Wait and test. If the demand comes from one loud account or a news cycle, ship a small test to a few customers first.
How do you price and explain AI features?
AI features cost you money every time someone uses them, which strains a per-seat plan. Compare credits, usage tiers, a paid add-on and a higher plan against your margins and how customers buy.
Then test the new message on lost deals and churned customers before you rewrite the website. The mentors above include product leaders who added AI to SaaS platforms, pricing specialists and positioning leads from AI and SaaS companies.
People who were exactly where you are.

Before you join
What people ask before their first call.
Name what a prompt can’t replace: your data, integrations, workflow history and the result you stand behind. Then check that answer against recent deals. If buyers shrug at those parts, fix the positioning before you change the product.
Not by default. A rival’s feature list shows what buyers expect to see. Your churn notes and sales calls show what they will pay for, so start where customers already lose time in your product.
Start from your cost per use and how customers already buy. Credits and usage tiers protect margins. An add-on or a higher plan is easier to sell. Bring your pricing page and cost estimates so a mentor can test the options.
Only if it makes the value clearer to your buyers. Many care about the result, and some distrust AI in their workflow. Try both versions of the message in sales calls before you change the homepage.
Your current positioning, your pricing page, the two or three AI-native rivals you lose to and notes from recent lost deals or churned customers. Add the one decision in front of you: what to build, what to charge or what to say.
The session is advice on a specific decision. A full repositioning project, pricing research or ongoing advisory work needs a separate agreement with the mentor; describe the help you need in your request.
