Tell us something about yourself and what you are currently working on.

I am a product marketer and marketing team lead of a startup in electron microscopy. Our company sells electron microscopy solutions catered to researchers in life science research and academia and so I plan and execute GTM campaigns, product launches, and the inbound content strategy for the different products.

Before you learned about GrowthMentor, how did you deal with the challenges you faced?

I used to watch webinars and YouTube videos and reach out to old marketing colleagues.

What ultimately compelled you to sign up for GrowthMentor?

The range of mentors that it boasted of was impressive. I saw that I could set up a call with literally anyone and learn from them and that was the selling point for me! The community it comes with is a huge plus too!

Product GTM strategy, the pains of being a lone marketer, growth marketing, and brand strategies have been some of the topics I’ve discussed with mentors.

My calls with Cynthia Mutanu and Justyna Ciecierska were the most memorable. They were both formidable women in business. Cynthia mentored me in general about career growth and just that one hour was so refreshing and insightful for me. Justyna is a marketer every marketer should know and follow on Linkedin. She structured my thoughts using visual diagrams and gave me great actionable insights!

How has GrowthMentor helped you?

Growthmentor has helped me navigate the fears and frustrations of being a lone marketer in a tech-heavy startup targeting scientists and researchers. I walk a fine line between a target persona that hates traditional marketing and an industry that has only done one type of marketing. My strategies have to hit that sweet spot where innovation meets constraints in order to be successful and somehow not having a ready community of marketers to watch and grow with (like in a bigger company) starts showing up in different ways. Growthmentor has been the perfect solution for that. Now I have endless brainstorming partners and every time I run into a wall, I know where to turn to a community of people that I can filter according to my needs!
