Lead Product Manager | Product Marketer | Management 3.0® Certified | AI Enthusiast – ex MAANG (Netflix, Google)

I'm Ray! With a decade of scaling global tech giants like Netflix to cutting revenue loss at LATAM's largest food tech, I transform complex product challenges into measurable growth.

Describe yourself

I’m Ray (she/her/hers), a trilingual Brazilian remote worker in Latin America today, driven to deliver results. Before work, I am an open-water swimmer and paddler. With a decade of working with tech giants in the MAANG companies, I’ve honed my ability to solve complex problems and craft exceptional user experiences through strategic, efficient thinking. I’m studying GenAI for product management to better collaborate with data science and engineering teams. I have also utilized Toqan GenAI (owned by Prosus) to aid in driving assessments and decision-making at iFood. I mentor designers and engineers transitioning into product on ADPlist.org.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

Having a multicultural background and living across multiple cities in Latin America helped me develop my transferable skills and clarify my purpose as a better mentor, guided by humanity and empathy. Nowadays, I’ve become a better product management lead through the capacity of solving complex problems and guiding data science and engineering on impactful solutions.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Growth mindset is balancing creativity & strategy into the equation. There’s no growth if you’re now focused on deliverables; growth happens when you see opportunities among requirements. Growth happens when you’re vulnerable to navigate chaos and ambiguity towards a goal.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

How to better use your transferable skills towards a career path! Working with design and technology helped me shape the version of professional I have become, depending on the environment and context!

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

What’s your motivation? We should focus on the pain points to drive clarity. If you don’t understand what you need, then you struggle with the solution and scalability of this. Never change the order. Motivation first, the solution comes after.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

To me growth mindset is about developing the skill of introspection, using self-awareness as a tool to learn, adapt, and grow through challenges. As well as being brave and willing to step out of our comfort zone.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Operational excellence has been at the core of my success in building scalable sales teams, choosing the right business partners, and driving sustainable growth. It creates a strong bridge between strategy and execution, and that is why I would choose this topic.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

I start by understanding why the situation is being described as a problem and what specific impact it’s having. Then, I assess whether the issue is isolated to one area of the organization or if it’s affecting multiple functions. Once I’ve scoped the extent, I use tools like process mapping to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and isolate the root cause.

Senior Partner Growth Manager at Shopify

As a Growth Marketer, I specialize in full-funnel growth strategies that combine performance marketing, email automation, and campaign experimentation.

Describe yourself

I am a Growth Marketer with over 5 years of experience working in Marketing and deep expertise in Marketing Automation and Acquisition across countries. I am currently working as a Growth Manager at Respond.io, one of the best SaaS companies in Malaysia. I have helped scale the Acquisition function here, increasing the new business MRR by nearly 100% over a year.

Prior to that, I also worked with Mindvalley, one of the leading E-learning companies in the personal growth space. I worked to optimise their automation workflow, increasing their free-to-paid user conversion rate and directly contributing to the revenue.

And now I wanna give back to the community by helping early-stage founders with Growth marketing

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I’m passionate about helping others grow, and with 5+ years of experience driving acquisition and automation at top SaaS and e-learning companies, I’m eager to give back by mentoring aspiring marketers and founders.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

For me Growth mindset is all about being willing to accept challenges and choosing to evolve.
Being able to step out of our comfort zone, being proactive in identifying problems, and working to find a solution is what makes us grow.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Demand Generation. With my proven years of experience in Acquisition and Automation. I believe blending these two perfectly would help companies grow their revenue engine and sustain in this fast-paced environment.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

My approach will always start with Why and not just once, but on every level of a problem. I would first like the break down the problem into multiple pieces and then act on it one by one.
For eg, In Acquisition, if there is a sudden downfall in lead generation or quality. We break down the problem on two levels. Before click experience and after click experience. Then, map each step of the journey and try to find friction points for drop-offs. For me it’s about it’s less about quick fixes and more about understanding the system as a whole.

Describe yourself

I’m a growth-focused marketer and fractional CMO who helps brands scale through performance media, customer acquisition, and conversion strategy. I love digging into the data to find what’s working, testing fast, and building systems that unlock sustainable growth.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I love helping other founders, listening to their challenges, and providing a few tips to improve their outcomes.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

To me, a growth mindset starts with being scrappy—willing to test, learn, and try again. It’s being okay with being wrong, staying curious, and seeing challenges as chances to get better.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Google Ads, I’ve taught this to hundreds at General Assembly, Maven, and through one-on-one private coaching.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

I usually start by asking way too many questions and digging into the data to see what’s actually happening. Most of the time, the real problem isn’t where you first think it is. I like to break things down step by step and look for where things feel off—whether that’s in the funnel, messaging, or something we’re just assuming is working.

8+ years in digital marketing across agency and in-house roles. Led paid media for global brands and advised climate and wellness startups. My psychology background shapes how I think about growth. I love helping with go-to-market, scaling, and career pivots.

Describe yourself

I started my career in the arts and behavioral sciences and then moved into digital marketing 7 years ago. I’ve worked both agency-side with B2B and B2C clients, and brand-side with global companies.
Most recently, I led performance marketing for Movado Group’s portfolio (Movado, Olivia Burton, and Movado Company Store), overseeing paid media strategy, audience segmentation, and growth across Meta, Google, and programmatic platforms.
Today, I consult with purpose-driven companies, helping them scale through paid media and sustainable growth strategies.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I recently transitioned from a corporate role to full-time consulting, and since I’ve learned so much along the way, I’d love to give back and support others as they navigate their own challenges.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Growth mindset to me means always seeing opportunities in wins and in fails. It’s about staying open, curious, and adaptable.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

I’d be most interested in mentoring someone to navigate the shift from execution to strategy in their career. I love witnessing that mindset shift when someone starts seeing patterns and connections that they hadn’t noticed before. I like to help expand the perspective.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

I like to start by zooming out and looking at the full picture to see where things are working, where they’re not, and what external factors might be contributing. Then I look into the data and talk to the people involved to get a deeper understanding of what’s really going on. I start wide, then narrow in, going through each potential issue one by one until the root becomes clear.

Personal Branding, Content & Notion | Founding Marketer @ magier

👋 I’m a founding marketer and Notion Ambassador based in Berlin, with an MSc in Digital Marketing Strategy from Trinity College Dublin and deep content and personal branding expertise. Happy to help with anything related to that.

Describe yourself

Hey, I’m Maria. I’m a B2B marketer and content creator with a focus on LinkedIn growth and Notion systems. Over the past few years, I’ve built three LinkedIn accounts from 0 to thousands of followers, turning personal branding into lead generators. I’ve also led a full rebrand as a solo marketer, hosted 4 community events in just 6 months (in partnership with Notion as an official Ambassador), and helped scale marketing for an early-stage design startup from the ground up.

GrowthMentor played a key part in my not going crazy in my role as I leaned on mentors for support and advice when I was testing new channels or going outside of my comfort zone. So, I’m excited to support other marketers figure things out faster when it comes to creating content, growth, and setting up systems.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

Over the past years — especially as a founding marketer — I’ve learned a ton about growing a brand from 0, and the only reason I didn’t lose my mind doing it was thanks to great mentors.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

To me, having a growth mindset means being open to the idea that there might be a better way to do things, even if it challenges what you already know. It’s too easy to reject new ideas or stick to what’s worked in the past. But especially as a marketer, if you’re not willing to get out of your comfort zone, try new tools, or stay curious, you’ll fall behind fast. Growth mindset is about staying open, being okay with being wrong, and choosing to keep learning anyway.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

LinkedIn Personal Branding, as I think it’s insanely important not only for getting leads as a B2B company but also for every employee to get future opportunities more easily. It’s still underutilised by so many as a channel while having SO much potential.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

I usually start by asking what the current approach is and what the person has already tried to solve the problem. That helps me understand how they’re thinking about it. Then I look for any underlying challenge that hasn’t really been addressed yet —maybe the real issue is hidden under a layer of assumptions or quick fixes.

I am a gregarious, happy, extroverted dad who loves to work and grow businesses. I enjoy meeting new people and love diagnosing challenges and exploring solutions with innovative and fun ideas. I live in Denver Colorado, where I spend a lot of time outside with my dog Maya and my family.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I enjoy mentorship, coaching, guiding, and building businesses.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

A growth mindset is a commitment to failing gracefully. Each “failure” helps enable future success and is a learning tool that will become a data point in the progress of your business journey.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Early Stage Start-up Hospitality Companies (Food Tech, Ed Tech, Hotel Tech)

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

I always seek to understand the relationship between the initial variable and its outcome. For example, if B2B leads are down by 10% MoM, we would understand the causal values behind passive and direct lead sources and their effects on B2B lead flow. Diagnose or root cause the issue, prognose a potential solution, or pivot and log the data point.

Describe yourself

I have 10 years of experience in paid marketing, acquired through roles at different tech companies. I’ve learned to drive growth in both new and mature markets. I have also seen the growing pains of a weak initial setup and strategy, and I am passionate about helping young businesses move the needle and avoid these pitfalls.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

Be part of a community, find the problems I am best at solving, and acquire social proof

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Having enough self-awareness to work on my weaknesses and develop myself as a person and as a professional. A challenge and a struggle just mean another level to unlock.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Sustainable and profitable paid ads strategy

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

When I joined a very young startup, the CAC was quite high. I decided to stop campaigns completely and start from scratch, as the initial setup was not efficient enough. Rather than segmenting based on the hypothesis the team had, I decided to go broad and segment only after getting learnings from the data.
