Tell us about what you are currently working on.
I am building a SaaS company and I am in charge of everything!
My company, SnapMetrics, helps marketing agencies and freelancers know which account and campaigns need their attention and why. So they can focus on solving issues not finding them.
Before you learned about GrowthMentor, how did you deal with the challenges you faced?
I tried a lot of things… From online content to asking anyone and everyone that might be able to help to signing up for expensive programs.
What ultimately compelled you to sign up for GrowthMentor?
I found about GrowthMentor from LinkedIn, wanted to book a call with someone on the platform. The price seemed expensive, but luckily you sent me a promotion soon that was too good to not take.
What’s your favorite thing about GrowthMentor?
I can get help from experienced people in different areas and fields.
What topics have you mostly discussed with mentors?
SaaS, marketing, analytics.
Is there a specific session/mentor that stands out in your mind as super helpful?
Giacomo for sure!
I have been trying to build a SaaS for a while now and I joined a SaaS accelerator paid program ($6k++) which promised to help me get traction and more.
Can you believe that in half an hour, Giacomo managed to teach me exactly what I needed vs 1 year of the accelerator?!
What did I learn?
That getting traction at first needs early adopters. Obvious right? Well the difference is how do you know who are the early adopters, how do you find them.
The accelerator’s advice was to follow my target audience on social media and like their posts to build relationships. Giacomo broke it down simply, early adopters are people actively looking for solutions And so in reality no one’s feedback matters unless they are actively seeking a solution to the problem I am solving.
Based on things you’ve discussed in calls, do you have any results to tell us about?
Yes! I went on communities and started searching for people that are actively looking for solutions Ex they might have in their post title “Looking for” or “tool”.
What I found was surprising because I found that there is no one looking for a solution to what I have been building… That was surprising to me because I built it based on customer interviews, I spoke to many marketers (my audience) and built it using their feedback.
But again just because someone thinks something is good or “wants it” doesn’t mean it really solves a problem. But I was still getting some interest from marketers based on my cold approach, and so I kept pushing looking for people and finally found an agency that sees value in my SaaS and now working with them to make it work for them.
How has GrowthMentor helped you?
I mean now I will never build anything unless I find early adopters first, and I know how to find them now.
What three adjectives would you use to describe GrowthMentor?
Educational, supportive, growing
