People-First Systems Architect | Belonging, Boundaries, Enablement
Describe yourself
I’m Alicea, a systems-minded, community-rooted, execution-driven operator. I see mentorship as a space for shared growth, and I’m here to help you find your footing, clear the noise, and take intentional steps toward work that feels meaningful to you.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I want to become a growth mentor to share what I’ve learned through a nonlinear career path and to grow as a listener while helping others find their footing—because I believe mentorship is a space where both people grow.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
To me, a growth mindset means recognizing that we—and the people around us—aren’t static. We can keep learning, evolving, and adjusting over time. Life really is about the journey, not about getting “there.” It’s not about perfection, but about being open. I believe we grow through experience (especially our mistakes!), reflection, and connection—and mentorship sits where both sides of the learning journey overlap.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
If I could mentor someone on just one topic, it would be navigating uncertainty—especially during transitions, pivots, or identity shifts. I’ve been through moments where I felt stuck, directionless, or like everything I thought I wanted no longer fit. I’d love to help someone slow down, ask more intentionally grounded and thoughtful questions, and find clarity in the middle of the fog—not after it lifts.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
My approach is to ask thoughtful questions while remaining in a fully focused listening mode. I believe in pulling on the thread of someone’s vague notions by asking as many curious “Why” questions as needed to uncover a holistic view of their situation.

Fractional CTO
Describe yourself
I’m a tech entrepreneur and 3x startup co-founder with 22+ years of experience building software across industry, academia, NGOs, and startups. I’m here to support early-stage non-technical founders navigate their tech journey.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I love building tech 0->1 early-stage startup tech and would love to help non-technical founders navigate their tech journey.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
For me, a growth mindset means seeing every challenge – whether in startups, tech, or life – as an opportunity to learn, adapt, and evolve. It’s about embracing change as a catalyst for growth, treating failures and criticism as fuel for improvement, and staying curious and open-minded no matter how experienced you are. At its core, it’s the belief that progress comes not from knowing it all, but from the willingness to keep learning and growing.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
If I could mentor someone on just one topic, it would be how non-technical founders can confidently lead the journey from idea to MVP and beyond. By teaching founders to understand the essentials -roadmaps, prioritization, tech choices – I’d empower them to avoid costly mistakes, align their tech with their mission, and step into their role as capable leaders rather than bystanders.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
My approach to pinpointing the root cause of a problem is structured, curious, and collaborative. I resist jumping to surface-level fixes; instead, I break complex issues into smaller, testable parts and look for patterns across systems – whether in tech stacks, workflows, or team dynamics. I combine technical rigor (asking “what’s really happening under the hood?”) with empathetic inquiry (“how is this affecting the people involved?”), ensuring the solution addresses both the symptom and the underlying foundation.

Helping B2B SaaS Brands Build Authority in the AI Era
Describe yourself
I’m a content marketing consultant with 10 years of experience in small business, SaaS, education, e-commerce, and more. I love connecting the dots between brand storytelling, search visibility, and strategic content planning and turning content into a powerful growth engine.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I’m interested in offering my expertise to other companies, forming new connections, and continuing to make an impact as a consultant.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
A growth mindset means consistently testing and moving forward. It means learning from your data and results, and turning those insights into new strategies. Ultimately, it means committing to a consistent cycle of strategy, implementation, measurement, and decision-making.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
I would mentor on content strategy because I don’t think many startups or new businesses fully understand the potential of business content, especially in today’s changing AI landscape.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
To determine the root cause of a problem, I like to troubleshoot on a step-by-step basis. I tend to use the process of elimination, and I leverage research to make sure I’m not missing anything as part of the process.

Senior Product Manager (CRO | Experimentation | Growth)
Describe yourself
Dragos Pop here (not Dragon), no, I haven’t watched GoT. 🙂
I have more than 7 years in CRO and experimentation, and a few wrinkles to prove it. After another 4 years in sales and customer success, I moved to 3 countries in 6 years.
Currently working at Gartner, where I help build and optimize B2B products that actually make sense to users and stakeholders (on good days).
I’ve led hundreds of A/B tests, built CRO programs from scratch, and worked across product, design, analytics, engineering, and marketing teams — sometimes even in harmony. 🙂
Whether you’re trying to prioritize experiments, grow your SaaS funnel, or simply make sense of a drain-y day, I’ve probably been there (and messed it up more than once – most mistakes are actually a good thing)
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
As a person who changed job field/industry twice and 3 countries, I strongly relate to the need for a mentor.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
Never thought of a definition, but I guess I would center around curiosity, resilience, and empathy as the 3 pillars. Curiosity will push you further always, Resilience will keep you going in the storms, and Empathy will 10x all of your efforts as people will have your back – your stakeholder, team, boss, client, etc. Without other people, we can’t speak about our growth.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
Experimentation, as it spans into everyday life and can be attributed to so many instances. It’ll also help with critical thinking, which I think is crucial nowadays.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
I studied journalism and am a big fan of UX research as well, therefore: the 5 whys. Usually goes like: problem statement and then ask why until you pass the surface answers.
Example:
-I was late for work again
Why?
– I got up late
Why?
-Because I went to bed late
Why?
– Because I got lost on my phone before going to bed.
Why?
-I always keep it next to my bed, and it’s tempting.
Ok, problem found in 4 whys and can be in fewer or more.

Senior Product Manager @NordLayer at NordSecurity | Building a B2B SaaS cybersecurity platform | SASE & ZTNA
Describe yourself
I’m a Product Manager with roots in Tech Support and photography. In a B2B SaaS unicorn, I scaled Customer Success and Account Management teams from zero before I moved into Product. The diverse set of past experiences made me passionate about good UI/UX and outstanding CX.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I see mentorship as one of the best ways to grow my skill set and expand the way I think; therefore, I wish to give back to the community and grow together with it.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
Reaching your targets against all odds. Great ideas cannot be stopped by anything.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
B2B SaaS product management and feature validation
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
As a former Tech Support engineer, I treat it as an IT problem – I first must know the end goal and the problem that led to not reaching the goal. I map out all of the steps that led to the problem and then make small incremental changes at each step while observing the outcome. Most of the time, this helps to find the problem area and a solution for it along the way.

Describe yourself

From scrappy social ventures to global giants like Google and Accenture, I help purpose-driven leaders stay true to themselves while they grow.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
I see many early-stage founders lack growth support, and I have the skills to help.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
For me, a growth mindset is trusting that you can always learn your way forward. It’s having some structure to keep you on track, but staying flexible enough to pivot.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
The focus would be on international expansion. I see huge untapped potential in interconnected markets, and with current tariff regulations, targeted support is crucial to unlock it.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
I start by stepping back and really listening—looking for patterns and connections that aren’t obvious at first. Then I dig in, testing ideas and tracing the issue until I uncover the root cause. It’s part detective work, part experimentation.

Senior Marketing Manager UK | Founder
Describe yourself
I specialise in translating behavioural science into practical brand strategies that drive traction. Having worked with both startups and multinationals, I love mentoring founders on positioning, messaging, and growth.
In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?
Because I help founders decode consumer psychology into actionable growth strategies that investors and markets can’t ignore.
In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
To me, a growth mindset means seeing every challenge as an experiment, every failure as data, and every success as a blueprint to replicate. It’s about curiosity, resilience, and relentless improvement.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?
If I could mentor on just one topic, it would be how to apply behavioural science to brand growth because founders who master the psychology of decision-making can outpace competitors with clarity and precision.
Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.
My approach starts with stripping away assumptions. I look at the data, the messaging, and the customer journey to identify where behaviour and brand perception diverge. I map the psychological triggers at play, what motivates, what confuses, and what repels, and trace them back to the exact point where traction is being lost. Once the root cause is clear, the solution usually reveals itself.

Growth mindset is the foundation upon which success rests. It requires leading with curiosity, seeing failure as a positive tool for learning, and viewing creativity over perfection as the path forward. In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?
A growth mindset, to me, is about obsession with learning loops — testing, failing, iterating, and compounding insights faster than the competition. It’s not about getting everything right; it’s about building the muscle to adapt, extract signal from noise, and turn every outcome into a smarter next bet.
If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

My approach is to zoom out before zooming in — I start by asking simple questions to map the bigger picture, then dig into the data, user behavior, and team inputs to spot patterns.
