Tell us something about yourself and what you are currently working on.
I'm a PhD student and co-founder of Study Stream, a SaaS platform designed to elevate productivity in human research. Our platform simplifies and accelerates the process of connecting participants with research projects, enabling faster and more efficient studies. We're passionate about supporting researchers in pushing the boundaries of discovery and bringing impactful insights to light with greater speed and ease.
Before
Before you learned about GrowthMentor, how did you deal with the challenges you faced?
Before joining GrowthMentor, I didn't have any business experience, so I needed practical guidance to navigate the challenges of building and scaling a company.
The Decision
What ultimately compelled you to sign up to GrowthMentor?
I signed up for GrowthMentor because of the access it offered to knowledgeable mentors in various fields, all at no extra cost. It felt like a valuable resource to have so many areas of expertise available.
Inside the Platform
What's your favorite thing about GrowthMentor?
Since joining GrowthMentor, we have found numerous incredible advisors for our business. We've even made several hires, with Spyros Tsoukalas, our low-code developer, and Rebecca Brown, our new CMO. Both of these have greatly impacted our start-up's growth, and numerous others have helped us as ongoing mentors.
What topics have you mostly discussed with mentors?
Marketing and go-to-market, investment strategy and our pitch deck for the pre-seed, and sales. Coming in with no business experience, I leaned on mentors for pretty much every part of building the company.
The Breakthrough
Is there a specific session/mentor that stands out in your mind as super helpful?
There are too many to name, but Rebecca Brown and Spyros Tsoukalas stood out so much that we decided to bring them onto our team! Richard King has also been invaluable as an ongoing mentor.
The Transformation
How has GrowthMentor helped you?
With Spyros's help, we now have a fully functioning MVP. And thanks to Becky, we're filling up our pre-seed round and developing a solid go-to-market strategy!
Considering my limited business experience at the outset of this journey, Study Stream wouldn't be where it is today without GrowthMentor. We still have a long way to go, but we feel significantly more confident with the mentors we discovered through GrowthMentor.
