The Work
Tell us about what you are currently working on.
I'm a solo founder working at the intersection of product and analytics, and right now I'm building TwoTail AI — a challenger agent-observability tool. Think of it like Mixpanel or Amplitude, but built specifically for AI agents instead of web or product analytics.
I've spent years watching teams wrestle with analytics tools that never quite fit how they actually work, so this is my attempt to build one in my own image — opinionated, and shaped around how people really debug and improve their agents. Right now I'm running pilots and doing most of the go-to-market myself.
Before
Before you learned about GrowthMentor, how did you deal with the challenges you faced?
Lots of blogs, podcasts, and sparring with other founders. Some of it was useful, but it was hard to find grounded examples — advice that matched my stage and my exact situation rather than generic best practice.
When you're a solo founder wearing every hat, you don't need another article telling you funnels matter. You need someone who has actually run the campaign you're about to run and can tell you where it breaks.
The Decision
What ultimately compelled you to sign up to GrowthMentor?
The chance to talk to true subject-matter experts in a focused setting. I didn't want a general business coach — I wanted people who had personally run the thing I was stuck on, whether that was LinkedIn ads or outbound, and could go deep on it for half an hour. Being able to find exactly that kind of specialist and book them directly was the draw.
Inside the Platform
What's your favorite thing about GrowthMentor?
Two things. The prep is clear, so I go into every call knowing what I want out of it and the mentor already has context — we skip the small talk and get straight into the problem.
And the quality of the people is genuinely fantastic. I've had specialists screen-share their own campaigns and walk me through exactly how they'd set mine up, which is a completely different level to reading about it.
What topics have you mostly discussed with mentors?
Mostly outbound, paid marketing, and content marketing — the whole go-to-market side of building a product. On paid, I went deep on LinkedIn ads: funnel structure, bidding, and creative. On outbound, I worked through my LinkedIn sequences — acceptance rates, reply rates, and where people were dropping off between connecting and booking a call.
The Breakthrough
Is there a specific session/mentor that stands out in your mind as super helpful?
My LinkedIn ads strategy session with Anh Le. It was so clear she knew the platform inside-out — she didn't deal in theory, she'd run the exact playbook and had the scars to show for it.
I came in thinking I just needed to point ads at my landing page and turn up the budget. She reframed the whole thing: cold audiences don't convert on the first touch, so I needed a real funnel — a cheap top-of-funnel layer built around thought-leadership and personal-profile posts, then retargeting that leads with proof and a sharp reason to choose you. She got tactical too, down to manual bidding, square creative, and watching frequency so you refresh before people tune out. I left with a page of things to test.
The Transformation
How has GrowthMentor helped you?
The concrete wins are clearer, more confident calls on my marketing tooling and how I run campaigns. On paid, I stopped trying to brute-force a single cold-to-demo funnel and restructured around layers, which changed both how I spend and what I measure. On outbound, I tightened my sequences — adding open tracking, spacing the automation so it feels natural rather than robotic, and moving to softer, question-led follow-ups instead of pushing straight for a meeting.
Beyond the tactics, it's been genuinely humbling to see what real expertise looks like up close. As a solo founder you can convince yourself you understand a channel because you've read enough about it — then you talk to someone who has actually lived in it for years. It's kept me honest, and it's made me faster: instead of guessing for weeks, I get a grounded second opinion in a single call and get straight back to building.
The Verdict
