When GrowthMentor first came online in 2018 one of our three core values was human relationships.
While our core values haven’t changed at all since the start, the technology available today vs in 2018 sure has.
When Human Relationships Meet Technology
Today, we’re excited to share how GrowthMentor is harnessing technology to help you make the most of every mentoring session.
Introducing Session Recording and AI Summaries—a game-changing feature designed to ensure that the insights you gain in your 1:1 calls turn into actions.
We’ve all been there. You have an incredible session, ideas are flying, and it feels like you’ve struck gold. But then life happens, and the brilliant advice you received starts to fade. How can you hold on to those nuggets of wisdom and turn them into real-world results?
Until now, many of our users relied on third-party tools to record calls or took exhaustive notes, sometimes at the expense of staying fully present during the conversation.
While these methods worked, they weren’t seamless or user-friendly.
With Session Recording and AI Summaries, we’ve removed these barriers, making it easier than ever to revisit, reflect, and take action on your sessions.
We’ve designed this update to support your growth journey in the most seamless way possible:
- 1.Stay Present: Focus fully on your mentor without worrying about taking perfect notes.
- 2.Reinforce Learning: Rewatch and reflect on your sessions to deepen your understanding.
- 3.Take Action: Use AI-generated next steps to turn advice into measurable progress.
NEW Call Recording Feature
Our in-house video communication tool now allows you to record all your sessions directly within GrowthMentor. Each recording is saved securely and accessible in your dashboard. No more juggling external software or worrying about losing critical insights.
As with all things growth related (business or personal), it’s very easy to talk the talk and never get around to walking the walk. We all know things we SHOULD be doing and can easily talk about them for days, but it’s a different story when it comes to actual implementation.
In the heat of the moment of a great sound-boarding session, things can get lost in the ether of brainstorming and are never touched upon again.
Little nuggets of wisdom are constantly flying around during GM calls and you gotta catch’em all!
Not only does re-listening help you to find specific valuable information, it also reinforces the whole subject and engrains it in your brain that you scheduled this call for a reason.
Ok great, so recording calls and listening to them later is a great hack – but I want MORE hacks!! MORE MORE MORE shortcuts!
AI-Powered Session Summaries
Enter our friend AI. That little rascal who gives the most generic advice ever, unless prompted with finesse.
To get the good stuff you have to strip the conversation down to bare bones aka literal transcription. I personally find this kind of painful to read through, but if you need something specific, you will be able to find it!
Luckily we know some pretty damn smart prompt engineers who knew how to harness the 1:1 calls and turn the transcriptions into actionable takeaways and wrap them up in a nice concise package.
- Session Focus: A concise overview of the primary challenges discussed and the mentor’s guidance.
- Session Highlights: Key takeaways, including timestamps for easy navigation.
- Next Steps: Actionable recommendations tailored to your goals.
14:58Session Summary
You came in unsure whether your paid acquisition could scale, with spend split across Google and Meta and no agreed ceiling for what a customer should cost.
What you’re walking away with:
A working CAC ceiling, a payback rule to hold spend against, and a plan to separate channel reporting before adding budget.
Best moments to revisit:
- 04:12 — Why blended CAC was hiding the Meta vs Google gap
- 08:47 — The six month payback rule, and when to break it
- 12:30 — Broad match spend, and why it goes first
Action items:
- Split CAC reporting by channel before the next spend review.
- Pause broad match campaigns and reallocate to exact match winners.
- Set the CAC ceiling at a third of first-year revenue per customer.
For your next session:
Bring the channel-split numbers. If Meta holds its payback under six months at 20 percent higher spend, the next conversation is creative volume.
Time to Take ACTION
With this update, we have done everything possible to help you take action on the things that are discussed in GrowthMentor calls. Now it’s all up to you!
You now have your very own personal library of the calls you have done as well as those nifty Key takeaways and Next steps.
In your user dashboard you’ll find your session recordings on the top menu right in between your session history and the help request section.
