Discoverability (SEO, AEO & Paid Search) @ Modash
A fantastic first call with Usman. We had a great discussion about analysing content traffic decay, and some of the best strategies for analysing content performance for a business that is already doing SEO and content well. Extremely knowledgeable and a great guy – looking forward to more calls in the near future.
Usman and I in just 30 minutes covered about 2 months of work for me to do on leveling up the content/SEO strategy for our Webflow agency. He had very specific guidance, steps and examples to share for every step and recommendation he made. He's just a brilliant kind person and I'm happy to be associated with him going forward.
Usman was a super friendly and knowledgeable guy. He was able to help me with SEO topics that have been giving me nightmares. He has so much knowledge on the subject and his ability to explain high-level topics in such an easy way blew me away. I can't wait to book another call !!!
Hey! I'm an organic growth strategist helping B2B SaaS companies drive more revenue and customers from SEO and AEO. I come from years of experience working with software companies in the B2B space, having led strategies for companies like Loom, Adobe, ActiveCampaign, Branch, Retool, Hotjar, and more. On the side, I consult with B2B SaaS companies that don't want to work with an agency and need hands-on execution. I come in as a partner and help companies build their revenue engines from SEO and AEO from the ground up, or scale existing ones with higher efficiency. I'm a massive fan of using automation and agentic AI to drive efficiency and delegate the repetitive stuff. I believe anything that can be delegated well can also be automated to some extent. I've built several practical workflows, and AI agents have functionally made our content production, our content auditing, reporting, and many other cases significantly more efficient. If you're a B2B SaaS company that wants to generate more revenue and customers from search, feel free to reach out. If you want to learn about my background, my story is below. My background: → Started my SEO career in early 2019, age 20, still at university, juggling a full-time job, a part-time job at a local agency, and a few random websites to learn the craft. → Jumped between agencies before landing my first in-house role at a B2B SaaS company in the email marketing space in 2021. → Joined Flying Cat Marketing (B2B SaaS SEO agency) in 2021. Stayed ~2.5 years, working up from strategist to Head of SEO, leading a team of 4–5 and a pool of 20+ clients. → Led successful strategies for companies like Hotjar, ActiveCampaign, and Mixmax — several of which became case studies for the agency. → Started consulting on the side around the same time, acting as a fractional Head of SEO for companies that needed expertise but not a full-time hire. → Moved to TripleDart (another B2B SaaS SEO agency) and led a team of SEOs. → Joined Omniscient Digital in 2024 for ~1.5 years, leading growth strategies for some of the biggest brands on the planet, including Loom and Adobe. → Currently Discoverability Lead at Modash, an eight-figure B2B SaaS company, where I own search as a whole ecosystem: traditional SEO, AI search / AEO, and paid search. Managing a team of two, a marketing engineer and a senior content marketer. Also, if you're new here, subscribe to my YouTube channel, where I put out a lot of content on my detailed strategy frameworks and the stuff I'm playing with around automation and agentic AI.
I've been successfully managing a team of SEO strategists as the 'Head of SEO' at Flying Cat Marketing. This includes in-house and freelance resources as well. Depending on what you're trying to achieve, I can put a plan of the kind of resources you'd need.
Content has always been the focal point in most of my SEO growth strategies. My research process starts with developing product understanding and gathering customer insights to create content that resonates with the ICP. I can help with strategic content direction by taking all growth opportunities available to your website into account.
SEO is all I've ever known. Having worked with a lot of companies and agencies, I've tasted nearly all mainstream verticals/industries and have acquired hands-on experience in SEO in the areas of technical, content, and links. Knowing what is objective you're trying to achieve, I can help develop an SEO strategy that'd give you the most predictable route to accomplishing your target.
Absolutely love all things about Ahrefs. Been using it since the earliest days of my career and is to date my favorite SEO tool. I have a solid understanding of how it works and a strong grip on all of its features.
Google Analytics being one of the classic SEO performance measurement tools can be helpful to track engagement metrics for traffic as well as some basic conversion events. I've had advanced-level command on GA3, and these days am getting my hands dirty with GA4.
Since in all my previous roles I've almost always had support in GTM issues, this isn't a tool I have an extreme level grip over. But in the past 2 years, I've been able to set up conversion tracking for some SaaS clients which has gotten me decent experience of the platform.
Google Search Console is something I use in my day-to-day activities and for in-depth analysis of some sort. Exporting GSC data to Google sheets to make data-informed SEO decisions is my favorite play.
B2B is the main industry I've spent most of my career so far. From lead generation to sales funnels and from demand creation to demand capture, I create compelling online experiences that fuel your business growth.
SaaS SEO is where my deep expertise lies. Having worked with companies like Hotjar and ActiveCampaign, I possess the ability to develop SEO strategies that move the needle in terms of revenue from organic search.
Attracting enterprise customers for your software requires a non-stereotypical SEO strategy approach. Having worked in the B2B space for so long, I possess the experience of achieving non-typical SEO objectives like growing the deal size for the company with high-concentration customer research methodologies.
