Bio
Public Relations can feel a lot more complicated than it actually is. You might have a great product and no idea why journalists aren’t interested. You might be launching next month and wondering when you should start reaching out. Maybe you’ve already sent 50 emails and heard nothing back. Or maybe you simply want to know: is there actually a story here? Bring it to the call. We can look at your product, your pitch, your launch, or whatever you’re working on and figure out what makes sense from a PR perspective. I can help you understand what journalists might actually care about, who you should be reaching out to, what to say to them, and what I would change if your current approach isn’t working. If you’re starting from zero, that’s completely fine too. We can build your first media list, write your first pitch, talk through how to approach journalists, or figure out what you need to have ready before you start. You can also bring me a specific journalist or publication you want to reach. We’ll look at what they cover and find a reason for them to care about your story. Planning a launch? We can work out the PR timeline. Trying to get on podcasts? We can find the right angle and work on your pitch. Have a journalist interview coming up? We can prepare for it together. Not sure whether PR is even worth your time right now? Ask me. I’ll tell you if I think it is, and if it isn’t, what I’d focus on first. I’ve spent 7+ years doing PR for startups and tech companies, particularly across AI, privacy, Web3 and emerging technology. My work has resulted in 500+ media placements and 300+ podcast features, including TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired, The Guardian, PCMag, TechRadar, Digital Trends and ZDNet.
Expertise
Personal branding
You want journalists and podcast hosts to take you seriously when they look you up. I'll review your LinkedIn profile and tell you what to change, then position you for the right podcast episodes. A content plan comes with it. If you have an interview coming up, we do media training first: how to talk about the product so the host or the reporter gets it.
Product launches
You're launching, or going live on Kickstarter or Indiegogo, and you want press for it. We work out the story (rarely "we launched") and the outlets that cover it, then the timeline to pitch them. Crowdfunding is its own game: 40 days live, no spare days, everything reactive. I did that for three years.
Public relations
Bring me a pitch that got no replies, a launch you want covered, or the question of whether PR is worth it for you right now. I'll tell you straight if you're ready, which angle a journalist would pick, who to send it to, and how to follow up. I pitch journalists every day, so I know what they need to see before they write about a product. Coverage so far includes TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired and The Guardian.
Social media
I don't do social media marketing, but founder visibility on LinkedIn is a big part of PR. Bring your profile and your last few posts. I'll tell you what a journalist sees when they check you out and what to change. Then what to post, so your next pitch comes from a name they've already seen.
Industries
Public Relations
If you're a founder or a marketer handling PR yourself, bring your plan. I've been in PR for 7+ years in AI, Web3, privacy tech and purpose-driven startups, across the US, EU, UK and APAC. Media relations, pitching, newsjacking, crisis comms and media training are daily work for me.
Journalism
Bring the pitch you're about to send. I talk to journalists all day and I can tell you how they think and what they want to know before they cover a product. Also why some emails get opened and others don't. I'll show you how to find the right reporter (Muck Rack) and how to use email tracking to time your follow-up.
Crowdfunding
You're launching on Kickstarter or Indiegogo and you want press during the campaign. Forty days live, no spare days, so the PR has to be planned before day one and reactive after. I did crowdfunding PR for three years. Bring your launch date and we'll build the press timeline around it.
Podcast
You want to be a guest on the podcasts your customers listen to. I find the right shows and pitch the host. Then I position you for that episode and prep you for the interview itself. 300+ podcast features booked so far.
