I am absolutely stunned. This might be one of the most valuable sessions I had on Growth Mentor. Phillip gave me a 45 minutes crash course about podcast production and business. It was a pleasure learning from him. We talked about the entrepreneurial mindset, a checklist of what I need to take care of, and podcast production. Phillip boils everything double to fundamentals and helps you get clarity from the ground level. Without a doubt, I hope to get on more calls to learn more from him. All in all, I loved the session. Thanks a lot, Phillip.

In record time, Phillip helped me lock in to my value prop of my podcast/content. On top of this, I have a handful of technical solutions I needed to get the podcast live. I feel closer and more aligned to getting my content/podcast strategy live!

Had a very nice conversation with Phillip, he gave some good tips and direction. Highly recommended :)

Expertise

  • Content marketing

Its all about strategy right? Sure, but it's also about the depth of your knowledge and your ability to share it piece by piece. We often take what we know for granted so I'll be a sounding board to extrapolate all the bits and pieces you don't see as bits and pieces.

  • Go to market strategy

Getting your podcast ready for launch takes a bit of work but I can help get you there over a few sessions. Once we get the ground work laid out - we can begin to explore how you'll operate as a host.

  • Public relations

In terms of knowing how to work a room - that's easy if you follow a mental framework. Now when we're addressing different "Publics" as they call it in the biz, we have to watch for compliance if needed but otherwise we can also follow a framework to stay the course in style.

Toolkit

  • Asana logo

    Asana

Asana makes for a good CRM and Project manager but its rare to come across a business that could ever exhaust everything Asana can do -- even other alternatives might make more sense it all depends on your team and their preferred style of management.

  • Trello logo

    Trello

I've worked with every project management tool I can think of...until I learn that there's a new software out there doing something different. Trello is the best tool for any simple SOP you need to set up,

Industries

  • Creative Agency

From Personal brand to Go To Market and Content Strategy - I can walk you through those areas if you're looking to get started. The best way to make use of our time together is for you to tell me all that you've tried and what you got from those efforts so I can optimize what you've been doing or suggest activity to replace or add.

  • B2B

My domain experience is predominantly B2B not B2C. You may want to consider working with someone else if you're looking to reach general consumers. This is an important element when considering who to invest in a meeting with here on this platform and I hope you've taken that into consideration. if so I'm looking forward to speaking with you.

Experience

  • Grit Daily News

Host & Technical Operations Lead (Contract)

I'm the on-camera host for Grit Daily's flagship startup show, conducting long-form interviews with venture-backed founders and tech CEOs, including the leadership teams at Veritone, Knightscope, and Planview. Beyond the mic, I work with the dev team on the back end. I aligned our HubSpot CRM to automatically route finished episodes, set up the scheduling that keeps global guests on time, and organized the file structure so the network can publish continuously across multiple countries without losing assets or stalling on admin.

  • Big Questions with Cal Fussman

Chief Technology Officer & Editorial Partner

I run the technical, operational, and asset strategy for Cal's media brand. I built and maintain the publishing pipeline, the distribution setup, and the digital archive. Cal handles the room. I handle the back end that protects his ownership of the work so a conversation he recorded years ago is still cataloged, still earning attention, and still earning revenue today.

  • Al Jazeera Media Network

Technical Operations & Media Governance (Contract)

Hired to turn an empty room in Los Angeles into a working, broadcast-compliant recording studio for The Take, Al Jazeera's daily news podcast. The real problem was coordinating a production team split between California and Amman, Jordan, which meant a nine-hour time difference and zero margin for a missing file. I built a custom cloud pipeline and a strict naming convention (EVR_DDMM_CCC_SLUG) that wiped out the lost-asset problem, ended the version confusion questions, and saved the show hundreds of production hours a month.

  • Formula Ink

Product Strategy Host & Co-Trainer (Contract)

Co-facilitated live Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and ScrumMaster workshops alongside Maria Matarelli. I ran the live interactive side, leading real-time sprint simulations on Miro for engineering cohorts from Bank of America, Johns Hopkins, Delta Airlines, Zendesk, and BlueCross BlueShield, all logged in at the same time from the US, UK, Canada, and India. When a major team medical emergency left my co-trainer completely incapacitated, I stepped in to anchor and run the virtual rooms solo, maintaining a 100% student engagement and satisfaction rating across the entire enterprise run.

  • Unstoppable Branding Agency

PR Media Trainer & Content Strategist (Contract)

Brought in by UBA, a global PR firm, as their first-call interviewer and messaging lead for five-figure client accounts. I ran deep-dive media training sessions and consultations with intense, fast-moving entrepreneurs, including Google Product Managers, venture-backed CEOs, and working journalists, to pull out their real philosophy and map their expertise. My interview logs and headlines became the core source material that cleared Forbes feature criteria and landed tier-1 press placements, and my CRM logging setup meant the agency never had to pitch a journalist from memory.

  • Inc. Magazine

    Host & Content Strategist (Contract)

Hosted Business Brainstorm on Inc.com, running fast, focused interviews with founders and Fortune 500 leaders including Mark Frissora (former CEO of Hertz and Caesars Entertainment) and the leadership team at Elements Global Services. I also ran the studio side, managing guest intake, recording sessions, and the post-production tracking that kept the weekly syndication drop on time without anything backing up in production.

  • Entrepreneur Media

Host & Technical Operations Lead (Contract)

On-camera host and showrunner for Action & Ambition across Entrepreneur.com. I personally recorded and processed more than ~500 interviews with founders including Dhruv Saxena (ShipBob), Varun Khanna (Tetrate), and Geoffrey Woo (HVMN). To sustain that volume, I built a custom cloud scheduling setup and a master calendar that let the show drop weekly across the whole syndication network without ever missing a slot.

  • Entrepreneurs' Organization

Global Media Operations Lead & Launch Partner (Contract)

Hired by EO's Global Learning Committee and the EO NYC chapter to launch their central podcast library from scratch. I built the technical launch playbooks and the cloud routing (Dropbox to Libsyn) for the flagship shows: EO 360 with Dave Will, EO Wonder with Kalika Yap, and the GSEA Accelerator Show. For Maestros Del Escalamiento with Daniel Marcos, I custom-built the Spanish-language interview framework that EO's virtual learning committees still use today to run their international portfolios.

  • Tigerhall

North American Anchor & Strategic Partnerships Lead (Contract)

I was brought in by this Singapore-based business knowledge platform to establish their entire North American presence from scratch. I built their local remote recording setups and designed the interview frameworks used to capture insights from US executives. On the commercial side, I opened up new distribution channels by securing a major content partnership with the United Nations Global Compact.

  • Ajax Union B2B Marketing

Operations Lead & Data Analytics Specialist

I built the agency's internal corporate podcast from scratch, handling the recording, editing, and distribution. The defining moment came when our biggest account, Morgan & Morgan, was about to walk because the historical tracking data was a mess. I stepped into the gap, manually rebuilt years of fragmented analytics into clean real-time dashboards, and proved the work. The account stayed, and it ended up holding roughly 80% of the agency's ongoing contract revenue. That's the job: find the thing nobody wants to deal with, deal with it, and keep the business running.
