Laiba Tariq
Marketing agency founder. I help founders and marketers pick the next move, then make the copy work
Laiba was fantastic, she really knows marketing and what's actually working right now versus what's just noise. Gave us clear, practical direction and the call was genuinely one of the most useful sessions we've had.
Bio
Bring me the thing you're stuck on. Maybe you're starting something and have nothing to go off yet. No plan, no content, no idea which channel to pick first. We figure out where to start and what order to do things in. Maybe you built something (over a weekend, with AI, whatever) and you're ready to launch with no messaging and no content behind it. We work out who it's for and what to say to them first. Maybe your client or your boss looked at a piece you wrote and said it isn't hooking. Send it over before the call. I'll tell you where it loses the reader and give you a structure to try. Usually there are words to cut too. A lot of this lately is AI output that has to become something a customer would actually read. That's most of what lands on my desk right now. Or the numbers. You have traffic or a campaign running and nothing's moving. We look at what you're asking people to do and where the message and the offer stop matching, then pick the first thing to test. SEO questions are welcome, especially the "I heard you're supposed to..." kind. I'll tell you what still holds and how to try it on your own site. If you're already running something and want an outside opinion before you take an idea into a meeting, that works too. Sometimes it's a full audit of your marketing. Sometimes it's one phrase that sticks. And if you're a marketer going freelance after a full-time job, or you just landed your first client and you're not sure what to do next: we pick the expertise to lead with and sort out the deliverables you've already said yes to. On the call I'm a sounding board with opinions. You talk, I help you sort your brain, then I tell you what I'd do first. You leave with the execution steps. Right now I answer these questions in 500-word LinkedIn messages at odd hours, for people from America to Malaysia to Sri Lanka. A call is a much better format. Where I've done this before: 8 years in marketing, my own agency since 2022, 90+ companies from small teams to enterprise clients like Microsoft, and Forbes recognized me as a Communications Council Member. Content that has to rank and read well is home turf. B2B SaaS pieces in the top 20 on Google, 400 blog posts published in a single quarter, a travel company's monthly traffic up 37%. I've been mentoring since my A levels and I still teach economics, business and marketing online.
Expertise
Career guidance
You're moving into freelance marketing after a full-time job, or you just landed your first client and you're not sure what to do next. We pick the expertise to lead with and sort out the deliverables you've already said yes to, then talk about how to grow from there. I get these DMs every week, so bring the messy version.
Content marketing
Bring me the question of what to publish and why. We work out what should exist and how it connects to the rest of your marketing, then the steps to get it out the door. I've run content at volume (400 posts in one quarter) and content that has to rank, so pacing and priorities are a big part of this.
Conversion rate optimisation
You have traffic or a campaign running and the numbers aren't moving. We look at what the page or the campaign is asking people to do and where the message and the offer stop matching, then pick one thing to change and test. Bring the page, the ad and the numbers.
Copywriting
Your client or your boss says the piece isn't hooking. Send it to me before the call. I'll tell you where it loses the reader, give you a structure to try, and point out the words to cut. A lot of this lately is turning AI output into something a customer would want to read.
Go to market strategy
You built something and you're ready to launch, but there's no messaging and no content behind it. We work out who it's for, what to say to them, and what to ship first. This is one of the main things I help people with, and it comes up most with founders who have a working product and a blank page.
Personal branding
You want the right people to take you seriously when they check your profile. We figure out what your profile and your content should say, and how to reach out to the semi-warm leads who already need you (short and specific beats mass DMs). Most of my own pipeline comes this way.
SEO
Content that has to rank and read well is my lane. B2B SaaS pieces I've written sit in the top 20 on Google, and one travel client's monthly traffic went up 37%. Bring a keyword plan, a post that isn't ranking, or an SEO rule you heard and want checked. I'll tell you what still holds and how to try it on your own site.
Industries
Marketing
Most of my advice work is with other marketers: agency owners, freelancers, in-house teams, and founders doing their own marketing. Bring a strategy you want a second opinion on, or one deliverable that isn't working. I've done this across 90+ companies, from small teams to enterprise clients like Microsoft.
Creative Agency
I work with professionals looking to expand their horizons in the creative marketing space with customer psychology, business goals and overall marketing case studies.
