Founder of GrowthMentor. Bootstrapped since 2018.
I’m honestly still in awe of what Foti has built with GrowthMentor! We came in exploring how to build a contributor model for our legal tech platform, and not only did Foti deliver wildly helpful strategic insights, he pulled back the curtain on how GrowthMentor was built from the ground up, what worked, what didn’t, and how to think long-term when building community-driven systems. Foti didn’t sugarcoat anything. He shared specifics around the earliest days, contributor psychology, product-market fit, monetization evolution, and even his technical choices (like working with a dev agency early on). Every minute of our conversation was rich with experience, no fluff, just real lessons from someone who's been there. You can tell he thinks like a founder AND a product builder. This platform itself is proof of someone who’s constantly iterating based on real user behavior. If you’re building anything community- or product-led, or trying to align monetization with mission, book time with Foti. He's one of the rare founders who’s generous, intentional, and still in the arena building. Huge gratitude again, Foti. 🙏
Foti is amazing. One of the best sessions I have had so far. He is professional in his tone, candid in his advice and shares actionable advice. He seemed prepared as he got the gist of my business very quickly. For this one reason he stands out from the crowd. 30 mins of gold nuggets was short, he was kind enough to go overboard. Thanks Foti for the support and guidance. Looking forward to more sessions :)
Just brilliant! I imagined that the soul of Growthmentor must have been someone that really cares deeply about learning, that is curious and with rich imagination: Foti is way beyond that. He knows that he shouldn't tell you what to do (how can he have all the info and context of your industry to do so?!) but rather share insights from his own experience that are applicable and can inspire your execution. Highly highly recommended! I think this should be the first mandatory call for everyone to really get the most of our own journey on Growthmentor. ευχαριστώ!
I started GrowthMentor in 2018 because I was running growth at EuroVPS and needed someone to think out loud with. I've been building the business ever since, from finding the first mentors to working out why people signed up but didn't book a call. In January 2026, I started learning to build with Claude Code. Today I work on the product myself, with AI and peer review. That has changed what I can help other non-technical founders do. Some good reasons to book a call with me: - You're building a marketplace and need to attract the first providers, earn people's trust, or work out when to charge. - You have an idea and want to test whether anyone needs it before you disappear into building it. - You want to use Claude Code or Codex to build a product or internal tool, and need help getting from a vague idea to a clear brief and a working result. - Your website gets attention but few customers. We can look at the offer, the page, the search intent and what happens after signup. - You have too many possible next moves and want another founder to challenge your assumptions. Expect questions, direct feedback and examples from my own business. We can pull up your website, look at a workflow, or talk through a decision. If another mentor has the specific experience you need, I'll help you find them. I also know how easy it is to get absorbed in building and forget to talk to customers. I've done it myself. Being able to make something is a good reason to get more deliberate about what deserves your attention. Send me your URL and a few lines about what's going on before the call. If you mostly need to get a messy situation out of your head, that's fine too.
I started learning Claude Code in January 2026 and now build GrowthMentor's product myself, with AI and peer review. I can help you turn a messy idea into a clear brief, keep useful context across sessions, and review what the AI produces. Bring a product idea or repetitive workflow you want to work through.
I've been bootstrapping GrowthMentor since 2018. I know what it's like to choose between paying for development, doing something manually and leaving an idea alone. AI has changed those decisions for me. Bring the thing you're trying to build or grow, and we can work through where your money and attention should go.
If you're asking which channel to use, I want to understand who you're trying to reach and why they would care. I help early founders narrow the audience, sharpen the offer and choose a practical way to reach potential customers. Bring what you've tried, the response you got and the assumptions you're still making.
I've worked with FT hires, development agencies, freelancers and specialist reviewers while building GrowthMentor. I can help you think through what to keep in-house, what to hire for, and how to give people enough context to do useful work. I'm particularly interested in how AI changes the team a small business needs.
I use interviews, voice notes and firsthand experience as the starting point for content, then use AI to help organise and draft it. The work is choosing what matters and editing until it sounds like a person with something to say. Bring a draft or a content idea, and we can work on the angle, evidence and distribution.
Building GrowthMentor taught me how much a marketplace depends on the people who join first. I can help with finding your initial providers, vetting them, earning trust and giving them a reason to contribute. We can also talk about the awkward stage where people sign up but nobody books anything.
If you have ten possible growth projects and no clear starting point, bring the numbers and the context. We can look at where customers are getting stuck, challenge your assumptions and choose a useful next experiment.
I like pulling up a website together and walking through it as a potential customer. Can I understand the offer? Do I trust the people behind it? What happens when I try to sign up or buy? Bring your URL and the step where people drop off. We'll look for changes that address what is stopping them.
Bring the problem you want to solve and whatever you've made so far. I'll help you work out what needs testing and who could give you useful feedback. Sometimes that means a prototype, sometimes a conversation or a manual service. I've built enough things to know how easy it is to confuse making progress with proving demand.
Becoming a hands-on builder after years as a non-technical founder has given me plenty of chances to feel out of my depth. If you're hesitating to start, publish or ask for help, we can talk through what feels difficult and find a manageable next step. I'm happy to share what has helped me keep learning.
I've worked through GrowthMentor's move from its early marketplace model to paid memberships, plus the decisions around free access, packaging and retention. Bring your pricing page and the reasoning behind it. We can talk through what customers are buying, what you need to learn and the trade-offs in changing the offer.
People saying they like your idea is a start. I want to know whether they use it, return and pay. At GrowthMentor, early signups exposed a trust problem we had to fix before bookings followed. I can help you examine where people stop, what they're telling you, and which assumption deserves a closer look.
Send me your site and tell me who you want to attract. We can look at search intent, useful landing pages, internal links and which content deserves your effort. I work on GrowthMentor's own search strategy, including how people discover us through AI tools. I care about whether the traffic brings potential customers.
I started GrowthMentor because I had too much going on and wanted someone who understood the work to talk it through with. If your head is full and you need another founder to listen, you're welcome to book. You don't need to arrive with a polished question. Tell me what's going on and we can take it from there.
I can help beginners think through search intent, landing pages and what a small Google Ads test should tell them. Bring the offer, audience and results so far. My experience is most useful for getting started and making sense of a test; large-budget account management is a better fit for a dedicated paid search mentor.

I use Claude Code to work on GrowthMentor's product and internal tools. I can show you how I turn an idea into a brief, give the agent useful project context, split the work and review the result. Especially useful if you're a non-technical founder learning to build and want to see how another founder approaches the work.

I use Codex alongside Claude Code for product work, research and reviewing changes. I can share how I brief an agent, preserve decisions between sessions and compare another review before accepting a result. Bring a task that keeps going off track, and we can work on the context and review process around it.
I can help early founders think through a Meta Ads test, from the audience and creative to what happens after the click. Bring your offer, landing page and results. I focus on what the test tells you about demand and conversion, with specialist paid media mentors available for advanced account work.
I use Search Console to see which searches bring people to GrowthMentor and how individual pages perform. Bring your own access and we can look at queries, clicks and changes over time, then decide where to investigate further. Useful if you have the data but aren't sure what to do with it.

We use Postmark to deliver GrowthMentor's transactional and lifecycle emails after moving away from Drip. I can share how we approached event-triggered messages, delivery history and unsubscribe handling, and help you think through what belongs in your app versus an email marketing tool.

GrowthMentor's matching application uses Supabase, and I work with it as part of building and improving the product with AI. I can talk through how the data supports a feature and what a non-technical founder needs to understand. My perspective is hands-on product building, with specialist review for deeper database decisions.

I use Vercel for Next.js projects, including GrowthMentor's matching application. I can help a non-technical founder understand the path from a local project to a deployed app, work with previews and review changes before making them public. Bring the project you're trying to get working.
Cut my teeth in marketing in the web hosting and cloud computing splace. +13 years experience in the hyper-competitive web hosting and managed services industry.
I've built and operated GrowthMentor since 2018. I can share what we've learned about finding the first providers, vetting supply, earning trust, getting people to book and charging for access. Especially useful if your marketplace has signups but the transactions or conversations aren't happening yet.
GrowthMentor depends on people being willing to share what they know and come back to help again. I can talk through curation, onboarding and giving members a reason to contribute. Bring the community you're building and the behaviour you're hoping to encourage, especially when participation is still mostly driven by you.
I help early software founders work through positioning, their first customers, pricing and what to build next. Running GrowthMentor gives me firsthand experience with subscriptions, onboarding and retention. I'm particularly useful when you're still narrowing the audience or trying to turn early interest into regular use.
I worked on customer acquisition, engagement and retention at EuroVPS before starting GrowthMentor. Web hosting taught me how hard it is to stand out when buyers see similar products and very different prices. I can share lessons on positioning, content and converting interest into customers in a competitive technical market.

I founded GrowthMentor in 2018 and run the business with my co-founder, Jessica. My work spans product, growth and the marketplace experience. Since 2026, I've also been building product changes myself with AI and peer review, including work on matching, lifecycle email and internal tools.
