Bio

Hi, I’m Donisha. I’m a product leader who has hopped multiple industries and lived to tell the tale. I started in biomedical engineering, wrote code for the electric grid, built education tools, and now lead the creator monetization platform at YouTube, helping millions of creators get paid across 100+ markets. Before that, I launched discovery features on Google Play used by hundreds of millions of people. I have led teams of 50+, and have taken products from zero to one and into global markets, adding up to $1B+ in incremental revenue. What I’ve learned is that every career pivot felt like a leap at the time, and none of them were a detour. I’d love to help you make your own background work for you. Where I can help: ✅ Founders/PMs with an early idea or chasing product-market fit ✅ Product strategy and AI, and where AI genuinely belongs on your roadmap ✅ Building and leading high-performing teams, with processes that drive results ✅ UX and UI-led product work, from user research to launch ✅ Turning data into actionable insights ✅ Growing the business, from growth levers to new markets ✅ Career transitions, and building a profile that travels across industries What I’m like as a mentor: I’m most useful if you’re early or mid-career, curious, and ready to dig in. Bring your messy questions and half-formed ideas. Those are my favorite kind. Let’s figure out your next move together.

Expertise

  • Product management

I’m a Product leader at Google, now on leading YouTube’s creator monetization platform and previously on Google Play. I’ve spent years helping teams get VP-level leaders and 20+ partners pulling in the same direction, and I love helping fellow PMs do the same. Bring me your questions on strategy, stakeholders, or what the next level really asks of you.

  • Product launches

I have done a lot of zero to one launches alongside work on products at very large scale. I can walk through what the first version needs to include, how to sequence the launch, and how cross functional execution works in practice so the thing actually ships.

  • Product market fit

A lot of the PMs and founders I talk to are stuck on whether they have product market fit or are just guessing. I help them get clearer on the problem they are solving, what signal to look for, and how to navigate toward a solution instead of building on an assumption.

  • Idea validation

I often speak with founders who have an inkling of an idea but no idea how to start testing it. I give them a framework to work through: what the assumption is, what results would actually tell them something. That is the part I enjoy most.

  • Building a team

Once a team passes a certain size, the job changes. I talk through how you manage a team at that point, what communication should look like, how often you should be meeting different functions, and how to handle stakeholders so cross functional work does not stall.

  • Career guidance

I have hopped across several industries, so I have the formula down for building a profile that is transferable and not locked to one sector. I help people navigate their current role, prepare for interviews, and decide what the next level looks like.

  • Mindset coaching

A lot of what I do is keeping people steady. When a mentee was freaking out after every stage of an interview loop, most of my job was telling him not to read into it too much and that he was doing fine. I listen first, then help people see the situation with a bit less panic in it.

Industries

  • E-Commerce

On Google Play, I worked on one of the world’s largest digital marketplaces, helping people find the apps and games they’d actually want. At YouTube, I also lead Shopping as part of the creator monetization portfolio, connecting creators, brands, and shoppers. I’m happy to share what I’ve learned about discovery, recommendations, and turning browsers into buyers without relying on more ad spend.

  • Social Media

At YouTube, I lead creator monetization across Ads, Brand Deals, Shopping, and more, helping 4M+ creators in 100+ markets get paid. I’d love to share what I’ve learned about growing a platform business while keeping creators and brands on your side.

  • EdTech

I spent seven years at the NYC Department of Education building tools for 1.1 million educators and families, including early-warning models that helped lift citywide graduation rates by 2%. I’d love to share what I learned about building for real users inside big systems.
