Bio

Hello there, I'm Alex πŸ‘‹ I've spent the last 10+ years building and growing tech companies, with currently a strong focus on B2B SaaS products. My areas of expertise include: πŸ‘‰ How to get a product off the ground and to product-market fit Having built and grown several products from scratch to tens of thousands of active users, I am well versed in the technologies, strategies and challenges of getting to product-market fit πŸ‘‰ What technologies to choose, when & why I've spent most of the last 9 years acting as a CTO, so I have a good knowledge and understanding of the technologies available to meet the challenges of growth: how to scale with increased demand, how to connect product and marketing, how to create powerful data pipelines, etc.. πŸ‘‰ Data-driven processes to propel a product towards success There's no silver bullet here - but there are good (& bad) processes. I've had the opportunity to test quite a few of these over the years, and some are simply better πŸ‘ A few things I've done: 🎯 Built my first company from scratch to 20K+ active users leveraging mostly scrappy tactics (we had no money πŸ₯Ί) 🎯 Eventually raised $1.5M 🎯 Got into the Techstars accelerator along the way 🎯 Built Cobble's product from scratch to currently 55K+ active users and raised $3.5M 🎯 Got into the Google accelerator that time around 🎯 Also worked with 10+ early stage startups to get them started and growing Aside from that, I'm a Frenchman that's lived in the US and Australia, travelled to 50+ countries and currently calls Paris home. If you think I could be the right person to chat to about your growth and product, feel free to reach out πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈ

Expertise

  • Building a team

Specifically regarding building an engineering & product team - identifying the required skillsets and the right methodologies, interviewing candidates and on-boarding new hires. And also how to part ways when needed.

  • Data science

How to build data pipelines connecting all aspects of a product to long-term warehousing & visualization tools, how to harness that data to power machine-learning projects, business decisions and operational processes.

  • Product analytics

  • Remote work

I've built and been part of several fully-remote companies, with team members based all across the globe, and have been location independent for the last 4+ years - which has been a great opportunity to test & adopt various processes and tools to make that dynamic work as efficiently as possible.
