All of our core values come into play with this group.
Actively engaging in group discussions will reinforce what you are learning elsewhere as well as the knowledge that you are sharing.
Let’s say you read a great blog post about outbound marketing. Then you are involved in a thread about the same topic in the Facebook group. You are much more likely to take action and try that method yourself after actively discussing it with others.
The opposite of this is passive learning- which is when you just absorb information and don’t do anything with it. If you are a lurker in a Facebook group, you are passively learning. Still better than not learning at all, but not ideal.
We’re all for getting everyone involved in discussions and learning from one another.
In the group we will focus on different areas of growth marketing and work together with the members to answer questions others may have.
The cool thing about GrowthMentor, is that not only the mentors are the knowledgeable ones. We have some really interesting members from all sorts of different industries that are active in the group asking questions and sharing their experiences.
Connections. That is what it is all about.
Building relationships and working together to help each other out is such a priceless thing.
This group enables people to connect with marketers and entrepreneurs from around the world that they would never have a chance to meet otherwise.
Besides connecting to exchange stories and advice, we encourage members to collaborate in business and work together.
Ideas like building content together such as guest blog posts or podcasts are pushed to the forefront in this group.
“You want to offer my subscribers a discount? Awesome! I’ll write an article about your company on my blog.”
Facilitating these types of interactions makes our hearts warm.
Be humble enough to admit that you don’t know everything and can benefit from others’ knowledge.
As everyone is in the same ‘wanting to grow’ boat in our group, it is a great place to ask what is on your mind and not be worried about a ‘guru’ coming along and minimizing the relevance of your question.
Know-it-alls are not allowed.
Generally the people that join GrowthMentor have an open mindset, so we don’t have to police the group for jerks, so that’s cool.
Whether you are just starting out as a junior marketer or a CEO of a very well established company- we’re all the same in this group.
